OUR LETTERS ARE WORKING
Many of us are upset at the tree clearing that has been taking place in recent weeks. Paul Feiner has reached out to the PSC, our state lawmakers and attorneys. Senator Stewart Cousins will be joining him and other members of the Town Council at a meeting on Saturday, January 9th at 2pm at Greenburgh Town Hall. After a brief meeting he will show the Senator the properties that have been impacted by the Con Edison tree clearing.
At this meeting, stategies will be discussed on how to address this problem. You're invited to join us.

ReplyDeleteIt is very important that as many residents as possible come to this meeting and participate in this process. There is strength in numbers.
ReplyDeleteSaturday, January 9th at 2pm at Greenburgh Town Hall.
Kristina, I feel your pain. Con Ed just cut down all the trees in back of my house, and my neighbors in Pleasantville. We used to have great privacy and almost no view of the power lines behind us. Now, we can see everything and everyone can see us. They also showed what hypocrits they are: all are so worried about global warming with the forests being devastated, yet they devasted our forests. Our elected officials are responsible for putting an end to this (although I think Con Ed is now finished with its destruction in NY as the 3 year plan was to be completed by 12/31/09). Our elected officials must require that they make resitution to it's citizens. What they are forgetting is that we, the citizens are the ultimate owners of the property they destroyed, they forget that our government is supposed to be a government by the people, for the people. They make these rules without consideration of us: the people. We need to take back what has been taken from us. Do this on the next voting day. Vote all of these democrats out. They think that we, the people, don't have the brains to make decisions for ourselves, so they make them for us. Let's show them that we can make the right decisions by voting them out of office. They are the ones that let Con Ed do this.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that Con Edison is finished with their 3 year cycle. They are just starting one in 2010.
ReplyDeleteCon Edison will try to keep the vegetation management plan a secret from the public. So will the PSC.
These issues warrant investigative hearings about both Con Edison and the PSC---and ASAP!
